[Maritime] Four (rare) prints: (1) "The wreck of the Nuestra Senora de los Remedios
(alias La Ninfa), a Prize to the Royal family.' Captured by privateers in February 1746 and lost in the following November near Beachey head on the coast of Sussex. Contemp. handcol. and gommé engraving, 32.5 x 46 cm, by John Boydell after Charles Brooking (published by Boydell in 1753), under passe-partout. Lacks part of the lower margin w. Boydell's address). Very rare. (2) (The Spanish Armada in the English Channel, 1588). Engraving, printed from 2 plates, the central plate showing the sea-battle printed in green and measuring 25 x 48.7 cm, surrounded by a separately printed ornamental border incorporating 22 portraits in black, 37 x 60 cm, engr. by John Pine after Clement Lempriere, from Pine's 'The Tapestry Hangings of the House of Lords', w. his engr. address and date June 24 1739 in lower margin. Central vertical fold as published, wide blank margins w. sm. defects such as a dam. corner and sm. tears. Rare. -and 2 others.
