Bol, H. (1534-1593). Eleazar and Rebecca at the well

Circular etching, Ø17.7 cm, signed "Hans Bol", ca. 1575, mounted at upper margin under passe-partout. Very good impression on a square leaf (circular prints are usually trimmed round), w. good margins at three sides, thread margin at the left side. Two sm. strips of paper from former mounting at r. margin verso, a few smoothed-out folds and some creases. Hollstein III, 38, no. 7, first state (of 2), before the address of Mariette but w. the unidentified monogram. A very good copy of a very rare print.
