Engraving, 14 x 21 cm, after Hans Bol (1534-1593), signed "Ioan. Bol inve." and w. the address "Edua ab Hoe." (Eduard van Hoeswinckel) in the plate, mounted at upper corners under passe-partout. Good impression and margins. From the very fine series of 24 plates dep. landscapes w. religious and hunting scenes, etc., Hollstein 479-502, 2nd state (of 3); Hollstein after Bol 22-45. Verso w. (duplicate) stamps of the Rijksprentenkabinet Amsterdam (incl. Lugt 789a, sold at auction of Fr. Muller in 1954). (2-9) Biblical scenes. Series of 7 engravings, all approx. 21.5 x 27.5 cm, after Jan van der Straet (1523-1605), all signed "Ioan Stradanus inven(tor)" and "Adr. Collaert sculp. et excud." or similar in the plates, numb. 1-7 in the plates, preserved as quire from a larger collection. Good impressions, ample margins. Each, except the 3rd print, w. old caption in pen in lower blank margin; the first print w. folds/ creases and sl. affected by blank leaf attached to the top margin, occas. foxing. A good set. Hollstein 3-9. -and 2 others by the same, incl. a very nice print from the series of 6 mythological figures from the Judgment of Paris (Hollstein 402-407).
