Collaert (II), J. (1561/66-1628). Two engravings: (1) The good Samaritan

Engraving, 22.5 x 29 cm, monogrammed "H.C.F." (Hans Collaert) and w. 1-line Latin text in the plate, mounted at upper corners under passe-partout. Good, contemp. impression on paper w. unidentified watermark, trimmed to the plate mark. Remnants of former mounting along all margins verso, some creasing in upper corners. Hollstein 26. -and 4 others: one by the same and w. the same monogram; one probably by the same but without monogram; a print by Pieter Soutman (ca. 1580-1657) after Rubens; an interesting print by Gijsbert van Veen (ca. 1562-1628) dep. Satan shaking the hand of a standing female figure (in poor condition).
