Bye, M. de (1638/39-1688). Eleven prints: (1-5) Cows
Five etchings (incl. 2x the same print present in 2 states), each approx. 11 x 14 cm, from a series of 8, dep. cows after Paulus Potter (1625-1654), 2 prints numb. 5 and 6 in the plates, mounted at left margins/ upper corners under 2 passe-partouts. Hollstein 18, 20 and 21, the 5th and 6th print are both present in two states. Two copies (H. 20 and 21) present in a fine early state (before numbers), very good impressions w. plate-tone and w. very wide margins (H. 21 w stain in lower margin touching the plate mark), H. 18 present in numbered state and good margins and a copy trimmed on the borderline (state underterminable), the other copy of H. 21 is trimmed to the plate mark. -and 6 others by the same; 4 dep. sheep (Hollstein 79, 82, 83 and 88) and 2 dep. hunting dogs attacking a bear/ a wolf (Hollstein 58 and 60).
