Dupont, Pieter (1870-1911). Ploegpaard bij Fontenay-aux-Roses

Engraving, 19 x 23.8 cm, 1899, printed on fine laid paper, signed "Dupont" in pencil in lower r. corner, "l'Outillage" in the plate in upper left corner, mounted at upper corners under passe-partout. Sl yellowed/ vaguely stained in wide blank margins from former passe-partout, but a good copy in fine impression w. much contrast. Dupont 69, 2nd state (of 2), Van Wisselingh 307, 100 numb. impressions.

Van der Blom p. 140: "Prompt won dit verbluffende stuk grafiek de Gouden Medaille op de wereldtentoonstelling van 1900." One of Dupont's famous "l'Outillage" prints. Verso passepartout w. annotation: "Uit de boedel van Henk Meijering".
