Engraving from the series of 7 capital virtues, 28.3 x 18.5 cm, after Frans Floris (1515/20-1570), signed "f. floris in?" and w. address "h. cock excu." (Hieronymus Cock (1518-1570)) in lower corners, titled at the top and w. 1-line Latin motto below the image, mounted at upper corners under passe-partout. Good impression on paper w. watermark gothic P (?), trimmed to the borderline. The leaf sl. foxed/ soiled, verso w. glue traces of former mounting. Verso w. annotation in pen: "Uit coll. Oettinger-Wallenstein, (...) stempel oude opzetpapier" (cf. Lugt 2715a and 5198). Hollstein (Floris) 75, only state. (2) Idem. The sacrifice of Noah. Engraving from a series of seven, 20.3 x 24.9 cm, after Maarten van Heemskerck (1498-1574), monogrammed "MVH (intertwined) inventor", numb. 5 and w. 1-line Latin caption in the plate, mounted at upper margins under passe-partout. Very good impression on paper w. gothic P watermark, w. very wide margins. Smoothed-out central vertical fold. New Hollstein C. Cort first state (of 2), New Hollstein (Van Heemskerck) 6, first state (of 3). (3-5) L. van Deutecum (act. 1554-1573). Three engravings from the series of 13 prints dep. the events in and around the Temple, each approx. 20 x 29 cm, after Gerard van Groeningen (act. ca. 1561-1576), numb. 7, 9 and 10 in lower left corner and w. 1-line Latin Bible-verse below the images, mounted at upper corners under passe-partout. Fine impressions, on paper w. gothic P and unidentified watermark, trimmed just outside the borderlines. Number 7 w. gluestains and paper remnants from former mounting on verso.
