Etching from a series of 8 var. animals, 12.1 x 17.2 cm, mounted at upper corners under passe-partout. Very good impression on fine paper w. watermark coat of arms of Amsterdam, w. thread margins. Hollstein 8, first state (of 2). Prints by Van Laer are rather rare. (2) A. van de Velde (1636-1672). Resting goats. Etching, 11 x 13.2 cm, signed "A.v.Velde f." in upper r. corner, mounted at upper corners under passe-partout. Very good impression on fine paper w. watermark of coat of arms of Amsterdam, trimmed to the plate mark. Verso w. collectors' stamps of Ernst Theodor Rodenacker (ca. 1840-after 1894) (Lugt 2438), J.E. Wetterauer (Lugt 3870) and 1 unidentified (not in Lugt). Hollstein 10, only state.

-and 9 others: an etching dep. 2 lions by Abraham Bloteling (1640-1690) after Rubens (2 copies present), an etching dep. sheep by Nicolaes Berchem (ca. 1622-1683), 2 etchings dep. horses/ sheep by Charles Amand-Durand (1831-1905) after Paulus Potter (1625-1654) (one w. the stamp of Amand-Durand verso (Lugt 2934) and 3 etchings dep. people and cattle by Elias Baeck (1679-1747) and an anonymous etching.
