Drawing in pen and brown ink, brown and grey wash, 22.8 x 32.4 cm. After a print by Jean-Baptiste le Prince (1734-1781), signed "S.M. Swellengrebel Utrecht February 1821" in pencil verso, mounted at upper margin under passe-partout. -and 3 later drawings. All drawings w. collector's stamp of Piet Os verso.

In 2015, the Rijksmuseum and the National Archives acquired an extensive family archive of the Dutch Swellengrebel family, historically connected to the Dutch East India Company and colonial administration at the Cape. (total 4)
