Danckerts, D. (1634-1666). Pastoral landscapes with cattle
Three etchings from a series of 4, all ca. 16 x 23.5 cm, after N. Berchem (ca. 1622-1683), numb. 1, 2 and 4 in lower r. corner, all signed "CBerghem inventor" and "Dancker Danckerts fecit", the first w. address "Nicolaus Visscher excudit", mounted at upper corners under passepartouts. Good impressions, 2 on paper w. fleur de lys in shield watermark, the other w. countermark, w. thread margins. Number 2 w. sm. chip from blank upper margin. Hollstein 18, 19 and 21, third and final state. -and 11 others after Berchem, all under passepartouts: 1 by Dancker Danckerts (w. blindst. of P.M.M. Hoogeweegen (Lugt 2101a)), 9 by Johannes Visscher (1635/36-1712) and 1 by Cornelis Visscher (III) (1628/29-1658). Added: 7 miscell. others, incl. 2 rocky landscapes by Ferdinand Landerer (1730-1795), one by a member of the Perelle family and a nice print after Hendrick Goltzius (1558-1617). Many of the prints of the lot trimmed around the image.
