The volume contains the second part of Linschoten's account of Cornelis de Houtman's voyage to the East Indies, as well as an account of the three 'Arctic voyages (Noordreizen) by Willem Barentsz. Considered one of the most remarkable collections of voyages published in the Age of Discovery.
