Six (of seven) engravings, all ca. 21 x 26.5 cm., attributed to Jan Collaert (I) (1525/30-1580) (4x), Jan Sadeler I (1550-1600) (1x) and 1 not attributed, numb. 1, 2 and 4-7 in lower margin, the first print w. address "CJVisscher excud." in lower r. corner, all w. 1-line Latin text below the image, mounted at upper corners under passepartouts. Good/ acceptable impressions, trimmed on/ just inside the plate mark. Five prints w. central vertical fold, the 2nd print w. strip on paper at lower margin verso and waterst. in lower l. corner (final print also). Occas. other imperfections. Hollstein (Collaert) 25-28 second state (of 3) (25 apparently between 3rd and 4th state), Hollstein (Sadeler) not listed. With: Chr. van den Broeck (1524/30-1590/91). Plates 1 and 4 from the series of 4 engravings dep. the parable of the prodigal son, both ca. 19.5 x 27 cm, by Jan Collaert (I), the first w. address "Gerardus de Jode" in lower middle, the other monogrammed "HC.F." in l. margin, mounted at upper corners under passepartouts. Good impressions, trimmed on/ near the plate mark.
