[Paper theatres] Collection of approx. 90 paper theatres and accessories

Mostly 1920-1970, but also earlier examples, incl. theatres complete w. stage and all accessories. Comprises: (1) Collection of 30 shaped paper puppets, issued by Pantswowy Teatr Lalek (P.T.L.) Arlekin, the state theatre in Lodz, Poland, 1960s and 70s. A number stamped "Bezplatny" on verso, the unused sheets fold. to form standing figures. (2) Schimmen-Spel. Haarlem, N.V. Drukkerij De Spaarnestad, n.d. (ca. 1925). Unused, consisting of 4 stiff paper lvs w. black figurines to be cut out, 4 semi-transparent paper lvs w. 16 decors, and the original stage w. central window. All lvs and stage measuring 40.5 x 31.5 cm. (3) Hollandsch Poppenspel, Zeeland, Volendam 1 and Volendam 2. Amst., Ph. van Amerongen, n.d. (ca. 1940), 3 vols., each consisting of a bifolium w. col. scene above the title on front in Dutch, German, English and French, and w. (col.) figures to be pressed out. Each 25 x 17.5 cm. Zeeland lacks a sm. portion of the border, the 2 Volendam parts w. a few figures loose(ning). (4) De Kinderboekenweek poppenkast. Complete, unused stiff paper plate (50 x 64 cm). Design. by Wim Bijmoer, published by CPNB in 1960, folded twice as published, in the orig. envelope. With: xeroxed scenario "Jan Klaassen wil de wereld rond" by Annie M.G. Schmidt. Also incl. a second, almost complete copy.
