Oil on canvas, marouflé on oak panel. 26 x 17.5 cm, signed "Geo P.", "Capri" and dated '82 in lower left corner, in simple frame. Superficial scratches, requiring cleaning to reveal the original bright colours. -and 1 other marouflé oil painting by the same hand, dep. cows in a meadow, signed and dated '88 in lower left corner; both in simple frames.

*Geo Poggenbeek made extended study trips to France and Capri together with Nicolaas Bastert. In Amsterdam they were neighbours, together with Hein Kever (see both artists elsewhere in this auction). (total 2)
