Large collection of original and archival work from Amsterdam architectural firm Joh. J. Koch, ca. 1960 to 2000. Incl. the following: (1) 42 original architectural studies, depicting facades, interiors and abstracted designs. Various techniques, incl. watercolour, pencil, ink and collage. With approx. 60 prints or copies of these studies, some further developed in collage or pencil. (2) Approx. 80 (blue)prints of plans or designs of buildings, designed by Joh. J. Koch. Most buildings situated in Amsterdam. Some prints des. by other firms, but retained as reference material. (3) 47 original artworks. Var. techniques (incl. watercolour, gouache, charcoal, etc.), sizes ranging between 44 x 170 cm to 24 x 26 cm, most executed by Koch, a few by contemporaries. In a variety of styles, incl. abstract, expressionism, surrealism, and realism; some subjects suggest use as studies for architectural design. Three works framed. (4) Eleven related photographs, gelatin silver prints, approx. 20 x 15 cm. (5) Three architectural models. Largest measuring 46 x 20 x 51 cm. One depicting the interior of a residential house, the others depict large buildings in modernist style.
