In marbled board slipcase. Lacks 28 plates. Title sl. soiled, outer edge w. sm. tears and backed w. paper strip; final plate w. sm. closed tear and backed in upper margin. Board slipcase torn along 2 edges. A very attractive, luxuriously bound copy.
Rare, especially w. this Vilvoorde imprint, apparently only 1 copy of this edition in libraries worldwide (Erfgoedbibliotheek Hendrik Conscience, Antwerp, not stating the number of plates). A more common (but also rare) edition has the imprint Brussels, Ph.J. Maillart et Soeur, 1811. Colas 1948.
