Features photographic images of the who's who of New York's Downtown Punk and New wave scene, including Debbie Harry, Grace Jones, Richard Hell, Andy Warhol, Divine, Lydia Lunch, Sex Pistols, Ramones, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, William Burroughs, among others. A student of Man Ray (who also appears in the book), Makos, collaborated with Andy Warhol, who notes on the introduction flap: 'Christopher Makos is the most modern photographer in America.'
