[Cards and cardgames] Thirteen var. prints dep. series of playing cards

18th-early 20th century, var. sizes, incl. several portions cut from larger sheets of the same series. Nice collection, comprising a.o.: (1) "Toverkaart of geneesmiddel der Wind-breuken vant Zuid west ende Uitvaart van Cartouche". Double-p. engraving, 30 x 37 cm, dep. 18 playing cards numb. A-S (9 of them contemp. handcol.), from Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid (Great Mirror of Folly) (Amst., 1720). Cole 73; F.M. 3608 (73): "Een blad met 18 kleine afbeeldingen (A. tot S.) van kermisverrichtingen, met kleine versjes over de magt van den wind. Met verwijzingen naar pag. 6 tot 53, van een mij onbekend 12º boekje waartoe ze behoren". (2) Col. lithogr. sheet with 90 queens, kings and jacks in red hearts, red spades, black diamonds and black clubs, the sheet measuring 9- x 53 cm, late 19th/early 20th cent. Lacking a sm. portion at the top, tears on folds; still a good copy for such a large sheet of vulnerable thin paper. -and 2 others: a col. lithogr. showing a fortune-teller with deck of cards after L.
