Notarial deed on laid paper with the seal of Felipe V and letterpress heading, 21 pages of manuscript text in old Catalan and Latin and a few blank lvs, threadbound. With folds and creases, but in good condition. Through this deed the prioress and nuns (of Catalan bourgeois and noble families) of the Order of Saint Jerome with the convent located in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, documented an emphyteutic lease by doctor Matías Ribes, of real estate located on Robador Street in Barcelona. Ribes committed to paying ab annual rent of twenty-seven pounds and ten shillings in two installments, an initial payment of two hundred pounds, and to investing four hundred pounds in repair works over the following five years.
