Kick Wilstra. Complete original page from issue 10 "Kick Wilstra als Gladiator" consisting of two pages as they were eventually printed. Also published in Ketelbinkiekrant and Rob's Vrienden in the early 1950s. Indian ink with blue spot colour. 42 x 30 cm.

Kick Wilstra was named after Faas Wilkes, Abe Lenstra and Kick Smit. Next to Kapitein Rob and Eric de Noorman, the football hero was a true comic hero for boys in the first two decades after the war. A total of 18 issues was published. *See lot 1042.
