Dédie A Monseigneur Le Maréchal Duc de Biron (...). Copie d'après l'Original in folio (...) par Mr. De Baudouin. Paris, Fessard/Chaubert, 1759, fully engraved: frontispiece, title page, "avertissement", index (8 p.) and 60 plates (numbered 2-61), contemporary marbled calf with gilt back.

Front board with reinforced inner hinge; leather of both boards with subtle restorations (trifle discoloured). Early, reduced edition, copied after the original, equally fully engraved edition by Simon-René Comte de Baudouin (colonel of the infantry and lieutenant of the grenadiers), published in folio size in 1757. The work served an illustrative purpose for an ordinance issued on 6 May 1755 with military regulations by Louis XV.
