Broodthaers' artist's book is a close copy of the first edition of the French Symbolist poet Stephane Mallarme's poem of the same name, published in 1914, but all words are replaced by black stripes. Some deluxe versions were printed on aluminium or translucent paper. This is one of 300 copies printed on regular paper. Soiling on cover, heavily dog-eared bottom right, moderate on top. Interior fine.
