[Noorddijk. Groningen] Acte van Aangave

Register dienende tot inschrijving van de Acten der Namen en voornamen. 4to, in marbled pap. binding containing the "acten van aangave" of ca. 150 inhabitants of Noorddijk, with stamp top r. on each page.

In 1812 all residents of Noorddijk were ordered to assume a last name by decree of Emperor Napoleon (1811 and 1813). In a few parts of the Netherlands it would take at least another ten years before the population would submit to this, in Noorddijk this already happened in 1812.
