Cut somewhat short during rebinding; trifle stained (including edges); copy with ex libris of Jonkheer Albert Visart de Bocarmé (1868-1947) on free endpaper and various older owner's marks on the title page. Rare edition of Erasmus' most famous book, published in the author's lifetime and in his last residence, written in 1509 and first published in Paris, 1511.
