Plates waterstained in white bottom margin; rebacked and boards with small defects along edges. With ex libris of Antiquariaat H.D. Pfann (Hilversum) on inside front cover. The only edition of this tribute to François Joseph Pfeiffer Jr. (1778-1835), with a list of 54 stage sets made by him for three different theatres, and because of this an important source on this art form during the first half of the 19th century.
