Folio edition of the "Encyclopedie". 35 volumes, 17 of which text volumes, 12 plate volumes, 4 volumes Supplement (= text) and 2 volumes Tables (= text). Folio (40 x 27 cm.), uniformly bound, calf, ribbed, title on spine in red and gilt stamping, half title except in text volumes 8-17, allegorical frontispiece in volume 1, 35x title with printer's vignette, several woodcuts in the text, 6 folding charts, a large folding engraving in the first volume of the "tables". Soft calf bindings with traces of use, some with sm. damage on spine and/or boards. The soft leather somewhat worn in several places. Complete set in good condition. (total 35)
