Douglas DC-2(-115)

Album with inserted archive consisting of 41 timetables and flyers between 1934 and 1939. Furthermore photocards, magazine articles, photos - and the remains of a letter carried on board during the disaster flight of the "Maraboe".

KLM made use of 18 Douglas DC-2 airplanes. In the six years after the first of these had entered service, five crashed, five were bombed during May 1940, and six went to the Deutsche Luftwaffe during WWII. Of one plane it is known it went to the Finnish airforce via the Swedish Red Cross, became a coffeeshop in the Finnish town of Hämeenlinna, and was restored in 2015.
