[Manuscript with seal] Franz Josef I. Emperor of Austria

Document on vellum (lambskin) in print and hw., Latin text, belonging with the Austrian Imperial Diploma of the Order of the Iron Crown, second class, awarded to Knight Josephus Laminet von Artztheim in 1871. The document is signed by Franz Josef I [Emperor of Austria and Hungary], the Chancellor's representative, Carolus L.B. Mecsery and the secretary of the Imperial Apostolate, Franz Scharfen ab Hennedorf.

Vellum, folded, ca. 50 x 65 cm. and complete with the Imperial seal in wax (red) in accompanying metal box with on top the Imperial Arms in overlaid goldcoloured metal (diam. 12 cm.) with green-yellow cord attached to vellum. Kept in the original cased black cloth box with inscription: Öesterr. Kaiserl. Eiserne-Kron-Ordens-Diplom II. Classe. Minimal traces of use, in very good condition.
