[Miniature theatre with additions] Series of 17 chromolithographic plates on 15 leaves

All published by J.F. Schreiber in Esslingen, ca. 1890 and ca. 36 x 42 cm. (2x twice that size), mostly with titles in French, German, English and Dutch (here and there with defects, all with folds), in not-matching cardboard wrapper.

Lovely series of plates, the illustrations of which could be cut out to be pasted on cardboard and so turned into a very colourful miniature theatre. The double-numbered plates act as the monumental frames, the remaining plates concern e.g. the closed stage curtain, various wings and (partly matching) complete backgrounds (villages, cities, a forest). Plate numbers: 400ab (double size), 400c, 401/402 (double size), 403, 403b, 406, 407, 410, 411 (frayed), 412, 413, 436, 437, 450 and 455. Added: another 29 plates incl. 7 lithographs in red and 12 chromolithographs of putti by E. Meyer and 3 drawings of theatre stages (total 47).
