PASSED

[Ex libris. Belgium] Two collections: (1) Collection of ca. 530 ex libris,

mostly heraldic, engraved dating from the 18th century to the first half of the 20th century, pasted on A4-size leaves and alphabetically organised in three binders with each tabs from A to Z, binders numbered on spine II-IV.

Fine and extraordinary collection, the ex libris without names have been indicated in pencil or pen. Most likely compiled in the 1940s by chevalier A. de Selliers de Moranville (Brussels), part of the ex libris with his stamp on reverse of the leaf on which they have been pasted. This name also repeatedly appears in a binder numbered V on spine: With: (2) Collection of ca. 240 pieces of original correspondence (incl. copies) related to ex libris, mostly typed on A4-size but also with many handwritten letters and cards, mostly dated 1944 but also later (mostly '40s to early '50s), with oft-recurring A. de Selliers de Moranville as sender or recipient, alphabetically organised in binder like the previous, numbered "V" on spine (total ca. 770 pieces in 5 binders).
