[Schedel] Incunable double leaf ff. XXI and XXII

Leaves XXI and XXII from Hartmann Schedel's Liber Chronicarum (Latin edition) from 1493, beautifully illustrated with woodcuts in contemporary colouring. Woodcuts with scenes of Sodom and Gomorrah, the sacrifice of Isaac, the vision of Abraham, view of Memphis in Egypt and two family trees.

Large folio, double leaf (2 ff.= 4 pages), unfolded 44.5 x 60.5 cm. Mild staining to middle fold. Good and finely coloured leaves. Hartmann Schedel with contrib. by Michael Wolgemut, Wilhelm Pleydenwurff and Albrecht Dürer. The first Latin edition of this world chronicle was published by Koberger in Nuremberg in 1493 and followed the first German printing earlier that year. Protected with archival foil.
