[Japan] Nine Japanese prints: (1) Gosotei Hirosada (act. 1826-1863).

(Omagata protecting himself under rain screen in evening darkness) (Osaka theatre scene). Colour woodcut, 25.5 x 18 cm., published by Tenki, in mount.

Marginal defects. Information copied from mount; (2) Ogata Gekko (1859-1920). (Two warriors fighting on horseback). Colour woodcut on laid paper, 1895, 32 x 22 cm., in mount. Two vertical folds, thumbtack holes in corners and some foxing, yet a fine print with wide margins. And with 7 various other works, incl. a more modern colour woodcut scene of a peacock on a branch (marked on reverse with stamp of bronze barrel with characters and numbered "E11"), and a series of 4 woodcuts with birds and branches. (total 9)
