"Afbeelding der Lijkstatie van Hare Kon. Hoogh. Anna, Kroonprinses van Engeland".

"Douariere van Zijn Doorl. Hoogh. Willem den IVden, Prinse van Oranje, op den 23en February 1759" [manuscript title above the first plate]. Series of 14 (of 16) plates, this set compiled from nine original engraved plates by Simon Fokke after P.C. La Fargue, numbered 1-4, 6-9 and 15, and five highly precisely drawn copies in pen and ink numbered 5 and 10-13, Dutch and French text in columns below the images, with above the plates pasted strips with manuscript street names (house numbers in pencil on the plates themselves) and partly with the names of the residents/ shopkeepers/ businessmen in the depicted buildings on the Wagenstraat in 1853, 1875 and 1905 on plates 2-8 (else not filled out), all plates ± 20 x 40 cm., mounted on cardboard leaves (37.5 x 49 cm.) with pasted label/ stamp of K.F. Lommel and number 540 in corners.

Drawn plates sl. browned, moreover plate 5 torn off; plate 11 with small tears. Cardboard of engraved plate 15 broken. Muller (HP) 4097; Atlas van Stolk 4081; Landwehr (Splendid cerem.) 234. The set of 16 engravings appeared in 1761 in The Hague, at Pieter Gosse Junior. This set compiled and possibly partly copied by K.F. Lommel, early 20th century. Although this is an incomplete copy, it is nevertheless historically interesting due to the emphasis on the houses and the succession of their residents. For example, Wagenstraat 125 housed in 1853 A.C. v. Heusde "referend.", in 1875 J.L.Th. Rietstap and in 1905 one Gussenhoven. The listing of professions is also interesting, such as "A. de Maan, antiquair" (no. 135 in 1875), "V. Koutrik, huisschilder" (no. 129 in 1875) and "Surman. Koffiehuis" (no. 141 in 1874). (total 14)
