Vellum soiled, torn on upper joint and damaged to spine head. The first printing of this description of Hungary appeared in 1622. Miklós Istvánffy (1538-1615), the Hungarian "Livy", was a governor, humanist, historian and poet. The separately paged part of 44 p. (by Jacob Ketteler) discusses the siege of Vienna by the Turks in 1683.
