[Scrapbooks, alba amicorum etc.] Three 19th-century albums,
all 4to-sized and with English texts, two of the albums also (richly) illustrated with mounted scraps.
One of the albums has contributions dated 1826-1833, several mounted illustrations, a full-page "trompe l'oeuil" with playing cards and letters and a mounted "pith paper" + Chinese export watercolour of a ship (several lvs. loose and frayed, contemp. gilt black leather binding sl. chafed); the largest album, with several mounted illustrations, has a beautifully blindstamped and gilt green binding in very good condition; the brown leather album comprises a few contributions dated 1859-1860, a drawing "By the sad sea waves" (with unidentified signature) and many blank wove paper lvs. (binding chafed/ scratched).
