Yoko Ono, two original invitations

Announcement 'Paintings and drawings by Yoko Ono'. AG Gallery New York, July 17-30 1967. Verso features a rubber stamped text by Maciunas regarding his boycot of the Annual Avant Garde Festival. This was Ono's first solo exhibition in New York. AG gallery was run by Maciunas. Exhibited was 'Painting to be Stepped on' amongst others.

+ Invitation and instruction piece for 'Watertalk/This is not here' at Everson Museum, Syracuse NY October 1971. Designed by Yoko Ono and George Maciunas, with the text naming John Lennon as guest artist. Printed sheet. 21.5 x 27.5 cm, folded once. A scarce item. Both invitations in fine condition.
