[VOC. Amboina. Fort Victoria] Deed of transport for the "comparants huis"

of Joan Hendrik Kok, "gegagieerde corporaal in 'scomp.s dienst" to D.E. Harman Pietersz. Pijma "vaandrig militair", manuscript on a plano sheet, 32.5 x 40.5 cm, issued, signed and sealed with red and black wax seals by Gabriel Adrianus de St. Glain "ondercoopman en guarnisoen boek[houder]" and Jan Meijer "Nederlands burger capitain, beijde leeden uijt den E. Agtb. Raad van Justitie deses Casteels", also beautifully signed twice by Pijma, dated "Amboina, aan 't Casteel Victoria Adij ult [?] february Ao. 1754", with the VOC tax stamp at the top certified with the signature of Lepeltak.

Lacks a portion at top, affecting the rank of De St. Glain; folded several times (the two outside parts (when folded) are sl. dustsoiled, one with orig. annotation in pen: "D'heer Pijma"); some stains and small tears on folds. A well-preserved original VOC document from fort Victoria at Amboina, highly interesting for its very specific contents: It documents the transport of ownership of a "Huys en Erf, staande ende gelegen aan de groote weg van de negozij Foya naast aan de wooning van den gewese Radja van die negozij Elias de Silva (...) ende zulx om en voor de somma ads (?) Veertigh Gns geld".
