Senensem, 1562, 4,427,(1 blank),(88 index) lvs., with woodcut printer's device on title and at the end of the main text, attractively bound in richly blindstamped pigskin dated 1571 on front cover, both covers with rolled borders incorporating round portraits of classic writers and the figures of Lucretia, Prudentia and Iustitia, ribbed spine with manuscript title, 4to size (quires numbered in 8vo).

Some marg. damage and waterst. to the first ten lvs., upper corners of 2 lvs. restored. 19th-century bibliographical annotations on first free endpaper. Lacks ties and minimal other defects. Important collection of treatises of the Milanese lawyer Aegidius Bossius (1488-1546), dealing with all kinds of criminal law. The work was published posthumously in 1562 almost simultaneously by a number of different publishers.
