Copy from the libraries of the Groningen medical professor Jacob Baart de la Faille (1795-1867) (vol. 1 with his bookplate on upper pastedown) and Fockema Andreae (both vols. w. his owner's stamp at the beginning). Nijhoff/ Van Hattum 83-84. The first part in first edition, here with the almost always lacking second part, published by Dumbar's grandson over half a century after the first volume appeared. Dumbar's work might have been a gift to the city; he also presented later historians with a great problem by taking home important documents from the city archive and never returning them. After his death, the documents were gone from his inventory.
