Partly waterst. in upper outer corner; first free endpaper and pastedowns dam./torn. Back cover stained; upper joint splitting at spine foot. Good copy, from the library of Eduard baron van Voorst tot Voorst (1850-1910), with his owner's entry dated "'s Hage 1881" on half title. Also with loosely inserted typescript list of former owners, starting with the aforementioned Van Voorst tot Voort, followed by members of the families Hacfort tot ter Horst, Van Voorst tot Voorst, Van Nispen tot Pannerden, and the names Louis J.M. Corten (1922-1985, mayor) and his son Hubert G.E.O.M. Corten (b. 1955). First edition of the first complete topographical and historical Dutch-language history of Gelderland, by Arend van Slichtenhorst (c. 1615-1657). Contains fine plans (with profiles above) of Arnhem, Bommel, Doesburg, Harderwijk, Nijmegen, Roermond, Tiel, Venlo, Wageningen and Zutphen.
