Brué (...)"; (2) "Nouvelle carte de l; Amérique Néridionale, et des Îles qui en dépendent (...) par A.H. Brué (...)." Paris, Ch. Piquet/widow of Brué, 1835/1834, two wall maps engraved by Artus and Massuet, handcoloured in outlines, with inset maps of the islands, each map consisting of 32 parts (23 x 33 cm) mounted on 4 sheets of fold. cloth measuring 93.5 x 65.5 cm (total size of each map when assembled 186 x 120 cm), folded in contemp. chemise and slipcase with leather edges, one edge gilt-lettered "Brué Amérique Méridionale et Septentrionale", 33.5 x 25 x 4.5 cm.

A few parts trifle yellowed, some offsetting to facing sections, occas. stains. Cloth of the partial map "États Unis" (water)stained, the map itself sl. affected. Slipcase worn along extremities. Both maps warranted with a small circular embossed and engraved paper seal, placed in the circular space with surrounding engr. text reserved especially for that purpose. Magnificent, large and detailed maps, the separate cloth sheets with the original engraved letterpieces on verso: États Unis, Amérique Russe, Groënland , Mexique, and Brésil, Colombie, Uruguay, Rio de la Plata.
