Archive of the Jewish firm Rera Regenkledingfabriek, Amsterdam

Business correspondence with Dutch and German firms. Circa 150 letters and some other documents from early 1941 till June 1943.

Rera was run by Izak Radziner (Amsterdam 22 july 1898) and his wife Esther Radziner-Hes (Amsterdam 13 november 1900). In the early years of the war Rera also made products for the German occupier. But by 1943 rubber and other raw material was not longer available and the firm had to go out of business. In june 1943 the Radziners were arrested and transported to camp Vught. A typed form by Joodsche Raad voor Amsterdam, Kampafdeeling, dated 15 June 1943, claims "Bovengenoemde verzoekt(en) ons U ervan in kennis te stellen, dat hij/zij zich nog in het K.L. 's-Hertogenbosch Auffanglager bevindt(en)" They both died in Auschwitz, 31 January 1944. Added: Several post-war documents on Judaism from the Radziner family.
