The author had free access to the archives of the city. His work therefore contains much more reliable sources and official documents than the works of Dapper and Van Domselaar. Slightly foxed in places, one quire misbound (pp. 223-230 between pp. 346 and 347) and one quire (pp. 629-632 between pp. 938 and 939), one plate soiled mainly in the blank margins, spines very neatly repaired. A very fine large paper copy.
