With AUTOGRAPH SIGNED DEDICATION by the author Simon van Leeuwen (1626-1682) (partly affected by waterstaining): "Practisimo Consultissimoq. Viro Ioanni vander Mark, m.d. Resp. Lugdunensis, apud Batavos Consuli Ad comitia praefecturae maritima apud Amsteodamensis, delegato, Academiae Lugduno-Batavae p/t/ Curatori hanc censuram forensem D.D. [signed:] Simon van Leeuwen septimo decem januar MDCLXXX." A work of great importance to Dutch law.
