[Robinsonades] Eight titles from the library of Michiel Buisman,

each with his signature and purchase date: (1) Alexis en Iwan, of De Overwintering op Spitsbergen. Een oud, maar boeiend en leerrijk verhaal. Opnieuw bewerkt voor de Nederlandse jeugd door Joseph Witlox. Amsterdam, F.H.J. Bekker, 1890, 250,(3) p., contemporary halfcloth.

With (repaired) tears, occ. staining. With annotation by Buisman: "Deze Robinsonade niet bij Staverman". No copies in PiCarta, which does list many other titles by Witlox; (2) De Robinson van de Noordpool. Eene Schets van de Natuur in het hooge Noorden naar Karl Müller. Derde druk. Gouda, G.B. van Goor Zonen, n.d. (c. 1880), 222 p., with 2 tinted lithographic plates, later halfcloth bound with original wrapper. Inside with some minor, marginal damage/ repairs. This edition not in PiCarta, which does list the first edition (1870, one copy),the second (1879) and the fourth (c. 1885); (3) Robinson Crusoë, met medewerking van opvoedkundigen geheel op nieuw bewerkt naar de behoefte van den tegenwoordigen tijd door G.A. Gräbner. Uit het Hoogduitsch door L.P. Ouwersloot. Sneek, Van Druten & Bleeker, n.d. (1869), 258,(2) p., with lithographic frontispiece and 3 plates, original blindstamped cloth (poor copy). Very rare, only two copies in PiCarta (there currently erroneously dated 1969). And with 5 more, incl. 2 with Buisman's annotation "niet bij Staverman". (total 8)
