(Dutch transl. by P. Bernagie). Amst., J. ten Hoorn, 1706, 202,(14) p., w. engr. frontisp. by Jan Luiken showing the interior of an apothecary, late 19th cent. vellum by Jac. Nuiver (Gron.), 12mo. A bit foxed thoughout, some old annots. in pen. A good copy, w. the bookplate and stamp of R.M. Posthumus on prel. blanks.

Daems & Vandewiele p. 59; Van Eeghen & V.d. Kellen 486. Very rare sixth edition of the Dutch translation (apparently only 1 copy in PiCarta) of the 1636 Latin original edition, that was anonymously compiled by Nicolaes Tulp (1593-1674). It was the first Dutch pharmacopoeia. Unlike that edition, the translation not only lists ingredients, but also instructs on how to prepare the medicines.
