Editio auctior & emendatior. Paris. widow P. Mergé for G. Cavelier Sr., 1748, (16),CXXXII,268,XXXIV,(6) p., cont. speckled calf, gilt and ribbed spine w. mor. letterpiece, 4to. Waterst. in upper outer corner throughout, occas. foxed. With nice old owner's entry in pen on title-p.: "De la bibliothèque de Jacques Gashoud apothécaire de leurs excellences de Fribourg en Suisse". In Freiburg, a street was named after Jacques Gachoud (1710-1797). Fourth edition of the official pharmacopeia of Paris, issued following the ruling of the Paris parliament of 23 July 1748, which introduced binding new regulations for apothecaries under this revised dispensatory.
