[Physics] Diary of W.H. Burgers

Contains some beautiful initial designs and botanical sketches. Nettie Roosenschooon was Jan Burgers's fiancee, W.H. Burgers's brother.

W.G. (Willie) Burgers (1897-1988) was a Dutch physicist, chemist and professor at the Technische Universiteit Delft. He is most well-known for his contributions to crystallography, which he made together with his brother, after whom the Burgers vector (measuring the dislocation in a crystal lattice) is named. The diaries give an overview of Burgers entire career, including the end of the WWII. The entries are very consistent and detailed and give a profound insight in Burgers's personal life. (total 11)
