Engraving from the series of the months of the year, 28.4 x 43.3 cm, after Jan Wildens (1584-1653), w. the address of Hendrick Hondius (published in 1614), numb. 11 in lower left corner, mounted at upper corners under passe-partout. New Hollstein 363, 2nd state (of 2). A very fine impression on laid paper w. large crowned watermark, w. good margins. Underlaid central vertical fold, sm. tear in upper blank margin, some creases. Very dramatic print. Only December, February (see other lot in this auction), September and November were engraved by Matham, the remaining 8 months by Hondius and Stock.
