depicting the story of Ruth, both ca. 21 x 27 cm, after Adriaen de Weerdt (1536/40-1580/90), the first signed "Adria. d. Werdt Inventor" and w. address "CJVisscher excudebat" in lower margin, w. 1-line Latin text below the image, mounted at upper corners under passepartout. Good impressions on paper w. different watermarks, trimmed on/ just inside the plate marks (sl. irregularly). Hollstein (Ph. Galle) 18 and 20, first state (of 2), Mielke 19, second state (of 3). (3) Blocklandt, A. (1533/34-1583). Christ healing the woman w. the 12-year bleeding issue. Engraving, 20.5 x 25.5 cm, numb. 2, signed "Phls. Galle Fecit" and "ABlocklandt Inventor" in lower l. corner, w. 1-line Latin verse below the image, mounted at upper corners under passepartout. Good impression on paper w. unidentified watermark, w. good margins on 3 sides, narrow lower margin. Sm. closed tear in lower margin, strips of tape from former mounting at blank r. corners recto, left figure traced w. pencil verso. Hollstein (Ph. Galle) 160, first state (of 2).
